There are many organizations that offer certification courses. There are many certification courses: NAUI Enriched Air Nix Diver, PADI Enriched Air Diver; SSI Adventure Diver; and Open Water Diver.
PADI Enriched Air Diver
The PADI Enriched Air Diver (EANx) certification is for divers who wish to extend the bottom time of their dives. This course includes a home study and a brief classroom session. The EANx course covers the oxygen content of the scuba tank and how to use a scuba oxygen analyser. It also covers standard procedures for recording the oxygen percentage in the tank.
With Nitrox enriched air divers, they can increase the amount of time they can stay under water without stopping frequently. The air mix has a lower amount of nitrogen, which gives them a greater safety margin. Enriched air mixes are also ideal for deeper dives, as they usually have 32% and 36% oxygen.
NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
An enriched-air diver certification is a good step towards taking your diving to the next level. The course teaches you about blending air, how to safely handle high oxygen concentrations, as well the risks involved. You will also learn how to use a dive computer and analyze your tanks. In addition, you'll also learn about the Equivalent Air Depthance (EANx) and how to use a standard air dive table. The common blending of nitrogen and oxygen is also covered.
Nitrox is also known as enhanced air. This type of breathing gas contains more oxygen then standard air. This allows you to stay underwater for longer times without needing to recharge your tank. SSI Adventure Diver
SSI is an internationally recognized diving organization, and the SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification is one of its most advanced ratings. This certification requires experience, knowledge, as well as skills. To receive this award, you must have completed at least 50 dives and four specialty courses.
The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox program is designed to teach students the knowledge and skills required to dive in restricted visibility. The course teaches divers to use special equipment, navigate in the dark and communicate with a buddy. They will receive the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver certification after completing the course.
SSI Open Water Diver
The SSI Open Water Diver certification is internationally recognized. It includes three parts: academic, in-water pool training and multiple open-water diving. This course teaches you how plan and dive with oxygen-enriched air mixes, up to 40%. This can increase your bottom speed and decrease your surface time. It also helps you avoid decompression syndrome.
PADI and SSI dive centres have different procedures for certifying divers. PADI certification requires you to buy your manual. However, with an SSI certification, you receive your card from the dive center where you completed your course. You may also be able to use temporary cards from PADI certification centres as proof of your certification.
