There are some things you need to know before you learn how to scuba dive. It is important that you understand basic diving theory and learn about the equipment that you'll need to survive underwater. To be certified as a diver you need to be able and competent to swim 200 meters without aids. You also need to be able or able to flounder in water for at most 10 minutes. Different agencies may require you to have different qualifications.

PADI

PADI can help you learn to scuba diver. The course is a mastery-based program designed to give you the confidence to dive safely and independently. During the course, you will learn the proper ways to swim and put on a scuba mask, as well as how to clear water from your mask. Your PADI instructor will also answer any questions you may have along the way.

NAUI

The NAUI learns-to-scuba dive course provides students with an in-depth understanding of the ocean and its environment. They will be able to understand the local ecosystem and its biodiversity as well as different species of marine life and conservation concerns. They will be taught about the different types of equipment as well as how to plan dives.

SSI

You can expect a simple certification and lots of convenience when you learn to scuba diver with SSI. You can even log all your dives right from the SSI app. Your certification information is all stored in your account. You don't have any worries about losing or misplacing cards. You also have access to all necessary information such as hand signals, first aid flow charts, and other diving tools. It also lists all SSI dive locations.

Discover Scuba Diving can be a great option for those who have never dived before. This one-day program combines both a water and shore dive. Your experience will be led by a PADI-certified instructor. It's an excellent way to get familiar with the sport.
